Springers is our “go-to” Friday Night Fish Fry restaurant. We know the food is always good, the staff friendly, and it is a short distance from our home. It is the only restaurant right on the water of Lake Kegonsa outside of Stoughton, Wisconsin. They have a wide variety of fish on the menu for Friday Nights. The normal Cod comes either deep fried or baked, both are great and come with potato, & soup or salad. You get a basket of rolls, hush puppies, and a great cheese spread for crackers. Their Clam Chowder is the best in the area, thick and full of good stuff!
I like their baked Cod, Ann likes the lightly battered Cod and we both love their Clam Chowder. We have had the Blue Gills, Perch, Walleye and others over the years and they have been equally as good as the Cod. I also like their hash browns with cheese and onions, very tasty.
In the summer it gets busy, so plan to wait. This is NOT a fast food restaurant. So, get there, put your name in, sit at the bar, have a cocktail, relax,and enjoy the view. It is worth the wait.
